Happy Birthday Zack!

This year I was put to the task of making my brother's birthday cake. Upon being asked what kind of cake he'd like, all he said was "uh...I don't know...Chocolate I guess." So, yes. A bit of an issue. There are far too many chocolate cake recipes for me to be able to just pick one out of the air. With more inside information from my mother, I found out some more specifics: it must be very chocolately, but simple. So I did a variation on a recipe by Chef Jules.This is the end result:

It may not be the most elegant cake ever created, but it did the job. My brother enjoyed it all the same.
